Coaching
You have to discover the right career path for yourself, but you don’t have to do it by yourself.
Unconventional Philosophy
If I were to invent the most perfectly brilliant solution for your career issues, you wouldn’t recognize it as such and you wouldn’t appreciate it. It would feel foreign and fail to resonate with you. My job isn’t to push you into one direction or other based on what I think makes the most sense for you. The right opportunities for you have to come from you through a process mainly guided by you with some helpful encouragement from me.
My job is to help you clear away limiting preconceived notions about yourself and your external environment. I’m here to help you realize:
- You are more than you believe you are and you can achieve more than you realize.
- Your insight about yourself is compromised by your inability to observe yourself from the outside.
- Your current results don’t reflect your potential.
- You overestimate what you should be able to accomplish in the short term and you underestimate what you can actually accomplish in the longer term.
- Accepting your ignorance about yourself and your external environment opens you to more abundant opportunities and relationships. It puts you in the mindset that there are always more interesting people and avenues to discover.
What’s more likely? That you’ve thoroughly investigated yourself and your environment and have concluded definitively that there’s not much more out there for you? Or that you may have missed a few things and there may be more left to be discovered?
Coaching Template
Below is a high-level template of what we’ll be discussing during our initial coaching session.
- Your personal, educational, and professional background.
- The objective details of your current career situation.
- How you feel about the situation.
- Your current goals or desired outcome.
- What you hope to achieve through coaching.
- Your daily schedule.
- Your home and work environments.
- Exploration & Exposure: Inquiry-Action-Results feedback loop.
Once we begin coaching, I give you assignments to complete and our next session will begin after you’ve completed them. I keep a log of our coaching sessions to document the results of your assignments, lessons learned, goals reached, ideas developed, and major achievements. I provide you this log to refer back to after our coaching is complete.

Within a few minutes of conversation, Armen immediately cut to the root of my primary career challenge – something I was unable to do after months of trying. His uncanny ability to clarify and define the real issues at hand made finding a solution a hell of a lot easier. I highly recommend Armen to anyone looking to transform their career.
Anish Kumar, cofounder of Macro Ops investment management firm
Overwhelmed with options for my career path, Armen really helped me to transform my vague ideas for my future into concrete building blocks. He showed me that I can pursue my passion as a career, not just as a hobby. Having Armen to show me the right steps to take to get where I wanted to go, helped me to gain the confidence I needed to jump into college head first. If you’re looking for someone to show you that a career is what you make of it, Armen is the guy!
Kelly Boyett, college student
Armen Alexanian is a man who remembers what it is like to be in a new situation, need help or guidance in your career, lack understanding of technology, or feel “out of the loop”. Armen is the kind of person to help, instruct, or consult with people in these situations and lend a helping hand. He lifts and inspires and freely comparts his wisdom and experience. He does this by inspiring confidence and walking beside you for a while until you can do it yourself.
Bob McFadden, healthcare analytics leader
Armen is astute, well rounded and can take in complex professional situations accurately. He has counselled me on many occasions and his wisdom has been practical and clear, addressing both near term and long term objectives. He’s particularly good at “getting to the heart of the matter.” He will be an asset to anyone who seeks his guidance.
